  • Radiology

We have three licensed technicians in charge of the radiology department. They produce images digitally and send them to Campus Imaging through Saint Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City, KS. This helps us determine what the next steps should be.

    Our radiologic procedures include:

    • Computed tomography
    • Diagnostic x-rays
    • Ultrasound
    • Weekly mobile ultrasound echocardiogram and magnetic resonance imaging
  • Nuclear Medicine

Our nuclear medicine technicians conduct various tests to determine what treatment option should be pursued. These tests include:

    • Cardiac stress tests
    • Bone scans
    • Thyroid scans
    • Gallbladder testing
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation

With a combination of exercise and education, this program will help you recover from cardiac surgery or a heart attack. This procedure also lowers your risk of suffering a cardiac event or developing heart disease. To ensure your treatment is effective, we implement a multi-step recovery process involving your doctor, cardiologist, registered nurses, and any respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and dieticians available.

  • Acute Care Beds and Swing Beds

We have 15 acute beds and 10 swing beds available for our patients. Each bed has its own dedicated room for isolation and to protect from infectious diseases. Visiting hours are from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm.

  • Emergency Services

We offer emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with physician coverage available at all times. Whether it’s trauma, cardiac emergencies, or non-emergency cases, we provide you with prompt and professional treatment services.

  • Laboratory Services

We perform inpatient and outpatient testing in our laboratory 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our full-service lab provides blood bank services, microbiology services, and more.

  • Durable Medical Equipment

Our oxygen devices and other equipment assist patients in achieving optimal functioning for activity in social settings and at home. Our assistive devices include walkers, canes, shower chairs, and equipment to assist with making modifications to your home.

In our shop just south of our hospital, we sell hospital uniforms, scrubs, and accessories.

  • Respiratory Therapy

We offer respiratory therapy to inpatients, outpatients, clinic patients, and emergency room patients with a doctor’s order. We have three respiratory therapists who offer services on an on-call basis 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Physical Therapy

We have a physical therapist and a physical therapy assistant who work together to provide assessment, rehabilitation, and various strengthening activities ordered by a physician.

With the physical therapy department housed in the former Pioneer Manor building, there are plans to include occupational and speech therapy services inside the extended facility.

  • Surgery Departmenent

We provide surgical and endoscopic procedures for inpatients and outpatients. Inside the surgery department is a surgery room, a procedure room, a recovery room, and a central sterile supply room.

  • Pharmacy Department

Our pharmacy is located at 1042 S. Jackson. We have two registered pharmacists, one nationally certified pharmacy technician, and three registered pharmacy technicians. We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, Express Script, ADV Coventry, Humana, and more.

Our pharmacy participates in the 340B Drug Program through the U.S. Government. The Veterans Health Care Act of 1992 is what started this program and it allows the following benefits:

    • Capped drug costs for federal purchasers such as our hospital, allowing you to save money
    • The uninsured and under-insured are still eligible to receive medications
    • The ability for you to have your prescriptions filled at our in-house pharmacy
    • Quick and seamless transactions for you and our pharmacy
    • Increased revenue opportunities for our hospital

Our hospital is eligible for these benefits because of our Critical Access Hospital designation.
